You will work closely with the General Manager to manage the professional development of staff, training and evaluation programs for the aged care home (ACH) and support your colleagues to achieve the highest ACH accreditation standards. Duties will include orientation of staff, AutumnCare system training, toolbox sessions and other clinical education as directed by the General Manager.Responsibilities:Undertake annual training needs analysis and develop a training plan and calendar based on identified needs.Coordinate and/or provide 'one on one' and 'group' training and education sessions in accordance with the training plan and in response to immediate service needs, changes in legislation or evidence-based practice and/or the acquisition of new equipment.Carry out competency-based assessments and skills assessments for clinical and care staff.Identify gaps in clinical knowledge & practice and facilitate/provide appropriate education and training. Evaluate education and training and identify areas for improvement.Monitor the level of compliance with mandatory education sessions for all employees and report to management for corrective action.Participate in quality improvement activities around education and training outcomes.Orientate all new staffAssist with development of policies and procedures that promote the delivery of safe, high quality resident care.The successful applicant will meet the following requirements:Registered Nurse Division 1 with current AHPRA RegistrationMinimum three (3) years’ experience as a Nurse Educator.Minimum of five (5) years post registration clinical experience.Experience in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education and training programs.Excellent and demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated knowledge and application of the Aged Care Quality Accreditation Standards particularly around education outcomesMust have valid working rights and current police checkTo be considered for this role you MUST provide a cover letter explaining your experience in aged care, why you have applied for this role and why you are passionate about aged care.Please visit our website for more information - www.morangroup.com.au  AUD Kellyville 2155
