You will be worked Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. You will work with a wonderful team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day. You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us.Key responsibilities: The Handyperson is responsible for routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home which covers equipment, building, fixtures and fittings and some gardens. Perform maintenance tasks according to a planned schedule of work.Maintain records using established systems and processes.Arrange equipment and building repairs with external suppliers.Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom.Maintain the grounds of the home.Skills/Requirements:Previous general maintenance experienceAbility to prioritise tasks and work semi-autonomously.Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirementsTrade qualification desirableBasic Computer skillsKnowledge of the aged care industry will be favourably considered.Current drivers’ licence, police check & valid working rights.Current Influenza vaccinationAs a MHCG employee, benefits you'll be able to take advantage of include: Employee recognition and benefitsMentoring by Senior LeadersEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee well-being ProgramsTraining and development OpportunitiesPaid Parental LeaveIf you are searching for a distinguished career opportunity, dedicated to making a difference, please apply today, we would love to hear from you! At Moran Aged Care, we are committed to reflecting the diverse community we serve and creating an inclusive and respectful workplace for all employees.
