We operate a wonderful home in Kellyville. You will work with a great team of passionate people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents' enjoyment of their life every day. You will be worked Monday to Friday - 65 hours per fortnight. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment and supports individuals to further develop their skills. Key Responsibilities:Observe residents during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to physiotherapistInstruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of physiotherapistInstruct and supervise group exercise classes when requiredSecure patients into or onto therapy equipment. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing supportConfer with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatmentRecord treatment given and equipment used recorded in AutumnCare notes systemPerform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out formsMaintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessoriesAdminister active therapeutic exercises, heat pack applications, and electrical modality treatments, such as ultrasound (once dosage and treatment times have been programmed) and TENS under the direction and/or supervision of the physiotherapistSkills/Requirements:Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support will be highly regardedMinimum 1+ years' experience working in a similar rolePrevious experience in Aged Care will be desirableEmpathic communication skillsBasic computer skillsCustomer service experienceMust have valid working visaCurrent Police Check (or willingness to obtain)Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinationAs a MHCG employee, benefits you'll be able to take advantage of:Staff recognitionTraining and developmentAllowancesAnnual leave loadingStaff wellbeing programsPaid Parental LeaveIf you are searching for a great career opportunity, dedicated to making a difference, please apply today, we would love to hear from you!At Moran Aged Care, we are committed to reflecting the diverse community we serve and creating an inclusive and respectful workplace for all employees.
