Physiotherapists are a valued and essential part of the care team reporting to the Care Manager.You will lead the Wellness Program with flexibility to modify to provide for the quality of life and functional abilities for the residents. Assessments, treatment plans, hands on therapy, and ongoing interventions are part of the role. You will work with a wonderful team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day.  You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment and supports individuals to further develop their skills.  If you are looking for a rewarding career in an organisation that supports the community this role is for you!   Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, plan and implement individual physiotherapy and treatment programs, which aim to maximise the physical and psychological outcomes for each resident. Document and report on the assessment, progress and treatment of residents.   Identify and perform interventions and therapy treatments that maintain and promote individual resident’s optimal mobility and dexterity and functional capacity  Identify and implement appropriate strategies to manage acute and chronic pain.  Participate in preparing a documented therapy plan formulated in conjunction with other members of the health team which identifies individual resident’s needs, and regularly evaluate plan.  Record care given to individual residents and any changes in ambulation or physical function in their progress notes Liaise with other therapists, doctors and health personnel in Day Care, Rehabilitation, Hospitals or other facilities where resident has interaction or therapy to ensure coordinated plan of therapy.  Skills/Requirements:Recognised degree or diploma in Physiotherapy with a minimum 2 year's practical experience  Current AHPRA Registration Enthusiastic about creating innovative programs to maximise functional capacity  Previous experience in Aged Care will be highly regarded Possess a compassionate, caring and supportive nature Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a teamCertification in Massage desirable Valid Working Rights Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain). Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination.  Inherent Physical Requirements Ability to support or lift maximum weight limits as prescribed by current Work Health and Safety legislation Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to push and pull maximum weight limits as prescribed by current Work Health and Safety legislation As a MHCG (Moran Health Care Group) employee, benefits you will be able to take advantage of:  Staff recognitionTraining and development Annual leave loading  Staff wellbeing programs  Community based work environment If you are searching for a distinguished career opportunity, dedicated to making a difference, please apply today, we would love to hear from you!  At Moran Aged Care, we are committed to reflecting the diverse community we serve and creating an inclusive and respectful workplace for all employees.
